As many as one-third of teens experience some form of abuse in their romantic dating relationships. As teens form their first romantic relationships, they often are unclear about what constitutes a healthy relationship. The effects of teenage dating violence can result in detrimental consequences to a young woman’s health that can last a lifetime.
